Overview

This new market takes place at the Stonestown Galleria and serves a handful of communities on the West side of San Francisco, including Sunset, Parkside, Forest Hill, Merced Manor, Lakeside, Monterey Heights, West Portal, St. Francis Wood, Ingleside, Merced Heights, Oceanview, Westwood and more. Over the past year, MFM has been approached by a number of these communities requesting a farmers market in their neighborhood. It is our hope that the Stonestown Farmers Market will be embraced by these neighborhoods as their own, and that by creating a larger farmers market, in a central location, we will be better able to grow a vivacious and viable market for our farmers. We also look forward to creating a farmers market that reflects the identity of its neighboring communities. I'd like to invite you to join us in celebrating the opening of the Stonestown Farmers Market. We're very excited, as this is the first time MAI has opened a market in over 7 years! We received many requests this year from neighborhood organizations throughout the West side of SF for smaller neighborhood farmers markets. We hope that all of you will make this market your own. We've been hard at work, recruiting the farmers, food purveyors, and artisans who we believe will best fit this farmers market. I look forward to seeing all the pieces come together on Sunday June 28th! Bring your family, your friends, your curiosity, your appetite, and your own reusable bags. :) We can't wait to feed you.
