It’s easy to see why the Grand Lake - Oakland Farmers Market is widely acclaimed as the best farmers market in the East Bay. Making the most of the cozy Splash Pad Park, this market welcomes over 44 local farmers, 30 specialty food purveyors, and a handful of local artisans. Oakland residents have made a ritual of this farmers market; anxiously awaiting Saturday morning to pick up their fruits and vegetables direct from their farmer and to enjoy lunch on the lawn followed by a quick dip in the Splash Pad fountain.

As winter begins to make its mark, bundle up and join us at beautiful Splash Pad Park. Rain or shine, we’re all here waiting to help you in the annual rediscovery of the winter bounty – persimmons, pomegranates, sugar cane, chicories, dino kale, delicata squash, guava and pomelos! Still pining for those summer tastes? Find them lingering in delicious dried fruit, jams and preserves. But you’re not done yet! With your reusable bags full, head over to the fountain plaza for music and a feast of steaming tamales, Himalayan cuisine, Indian samosas and sweet pies. Finally, don’t forget to head down Grand Avenue and Lakeshore Avenue shopping districts for the rest of your weekly shopping needs.
